An Earthly Branch represents the timing and is the core rudimentary emotions, thoughts and the representation of internal organs in a person. While with the Heavenly Stem the relationship between 2 elements is called a Counter, but with the Earthly Branch it is called as a Clash.

It is called a clash because any reaction within the Earthly Branch is more serious and has heavier implications. And any positive or negative relationships that affect the Earthly Branch will have a stronger and longer lasting effect on the person.

How do you identify a clash then? What are the criteria or situation required to qualify a clash? What is the severity of a clash in the person’s chart?
