Harness The Natural Power Of Your
Environment To Work For You!
Have you ever paused to wonder: Is there an omnipresent
force that binds my actions and me to my destiny, and if
so, how does this force work? Where does this force come
from, and how does it affect my endeavors and outcomes in
life?
Man has always sought the answers to the great mysteries
of the Universe - often unsuccessfully. A privileged few,
after a virtual lifetime of observation and cogitation,
came to realize that we are invariably and inevitably
bound to and hence influenced by natural forces that exist
around us...unseen, but nevertheless mystical or mystifying
to even the most learned of men.
After all, wasn't it the Chinese sage Chuang Tzu (399-295
BC) who once remarked: "Heaven, Earth and I were
created together, and all things and I are one"?
It is always human nature to fear what we do not know.
But suppose we came to realize - and accept - that there's
an invisible force that subtly makes its presence felt
in ways more tangible.Suppose we are presented with the means to study this
force, and learn its ways. And finally, suppose we are able
to harness and tap into this force and its useful energies
- whilst avoiding or negating its more harmful properties
- to assist us in our endeavors and help us attain our goals
in life. Impossible? Absurd?
That's what Feng Shui is all about
- studying about this force and using it to make life
better. After all, it was the French mathematician and
philosopher Descartes who noted: "Cogito ergo sum
(I think, therefore I am)", with Chuang Tzu having
complemented his statement millennia earlier by opining:
"Only the intelligent know how to identify all things
as one...this is to let nature take its own course."

| WHAT IS FENG SHUI? |
|
|

|
|
For millennia, the Chinese have been observing
the heavens and astral bodies, looking for a cue
as to how Man interacts with, and is influenced
by his Universe. Their observations culminated in
the conclusion that an omnipresent yet invisible
force - known as Qi - bears a distinct influence
on mankind and his activities.
Qi is dynamic and as such, stays true to the concept
of Yin and Yang by continuously interacting with
the environment and cosmic forces. It binds us to
the Universe, vice versa, and hence affects our
surroundings and lives. By identifying the changes
in Qi patterns, we are able to understand what Qi
augurs well for us during certain times of the year,
and what Qi and which directions to avoid, as well.
So Feng Shui is a study of the Physiognomy of the
Land...a study of landforms, if you wish. Because
natural environmental features such as mountains,
lakes and rivers retain, conduct and circulate Qi
within an area, we must first know the geography
of our surrounding landforms, before we are able
to identify the type of Qi present - and how we
can harness positive Qi to aid us in our undertakings.
And just in case you are wondering how the term
`Feng Shui' came into being, here's your answer.
Guo Pu's classic `Burial Book' (Zang Shu 葬書)
- penned circa 300 AD - firmly notes that `Qi rides
and scatters with the Wind (Feng 風); (and)
gathers at the boundaries of Water (Shui 水).' |
|
| |
| |
| WHY FENG SHUI? |
|
| Contrary to popular belief nowadays, Feng Shui is
not about getting rich. Feng Shui is not about your hairstyle,
ornaments, home decorations or the number of fish you
have swimming about in your aquarium. In this context,
it's very important to distinguish between classical (i.e.
authentic) Feng Shui, as opposed to its `New Age' counterpart!
Far from being an obscure, hocus-pocus sort of magical
art, classical Feng Shui is an ancient, respectable science
that studies how Qi can be harnessed to benefit our internal
and external environments. Invariably, Feng Shui is a
study of how we can improve our living conditions, our
lives, the lives of our loved ones, and humankind in general.
It is one of the Five Arts (Wu Shu 五術) of
Chinese Metaphysics, and if applied correctly, a powerful
improvement tool as well.
Feng Shui is all about self-empowerment. It's about knowing
what's best for you and how you can realize your full
potential in life. Feng Shui is often quoted as the prescription
to the diagnosis made possible by BaZi (lit. Eight Characters),
a branch of classical Chinese Astrology.
Put simply, classical Feng Shui
is all about making life better! |

| |
| Our Feng Shui Mastery Series |
|
| Classical Feng Shui is about fundamental theories
- rooted within the classics - that give us the ability
to analyze a situation, interpret it and apply theory
into real-life practice. Applied correctly, Feng Shui
is a useful and powerful tool that harmonizes the forces
of nature to promote health, wealth and prosperity.
We have structured our Feng Shui Mastery Series - a set
of modular courses - so as to enable students to gain
a holistic range of competencies in both Feng Shui theory
and practice. In developing the course contents, extensive
research into ancient classics such as the Qing Nang Jing,
Di Li Bian Zheng, Yi Long Jing, Han Long Jing, Di Li Wu
Jue, Ru Di Yan, Xue Xing Fu, Shen Shi Xuan Kong Xue and
Ba Zhai Ming Jing was carried out. These classics constitute
the core of classical Feng Shui knowledge, being the products
of centuries of research and documentation by respectable
Feng Shui grandmasters.
This Series combines comprehensive theory with practical
skills, with the objective of equipping students with
a solid foundation plus the requisite analytical skills
required to practice Feng Shui professionally. Our Feng
Shui Mastery Series - as are the Mastery Series for other
subjects - is designed with one purpose in mind: To provide
advanced, professional-level knowledge to students within
the shortest time frame possible. |
