June 26th – 28th, Sydney, Australia
They came from the width and breadth of Australia and indeed, Oceania, and converged upon Sydney to attend this class: Feng Shui Module 2, with Joey personally instructing it.
Module 2’s objective is simple – to build upon and elevate the knowledge students acquired in Module 1 to that of a practitioner’s level. As such, it is aptly themed as a Practitioners’ Course, where core methodologies such as Flying Stars and Eight Mansions, as well as theorems from both the San He and San Yuan approaches are shared with students.
The class started off with a lively tempo, as students were indeed encouraged – in staying true to the Mastery Academy’s philosophy - to participate actively. Credit goes to the students for their eagerness and proactive attitude in responding to Joey’s interactive style, peppered with his usual sense of humor. Questions and answers were swiftly and animatedly exchanged, as concepts pertaining to Forms, Factors and Formulas were duly discoursed.
Now, most people usually attribute Xuan Kong to invariably and consummately mean `Flying Stars’, and vice versa. But the fact of the matter is, Flying Stars only constitutes 10% of Xuan Kong knowledge, at most. And Module 2 participants were taught how and why this was the case, on Day 2. Furthermore, they were also given an induction into the intriguing world of Xuan Kong Feng Shui – as well as the diversity of its versatile applications.
On the final day of Module 2, students were treated to an introduction of another ramification of Chinese Metaphysics; the Yi Jing (Classic of Change). The versatility and potential of both Xuan Kong and Yi Jing, even if applied separately, lie in the fact that they allow for a practitioner to engage in `predictive’ Feng Shui, where matters affecting the occupants of a property can be immediately foretold, before the practitioner even makes use of his/her Luo Pan (compass).
And as the proverbial `final whistle’ was blown, the students swarmed Joey – most to exchange extra banter with him, with everyone finally getting together for a group shot!
