The Raffles Convention Center was once again a central hive of activity on February 3rd, 2008. With crowds converging on the arena from as early as 7.30am, the excitement and high energy was apparent among the participants.
In addition to his many fans, this year’s talk also drew in Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology enthusiasts, practitioners and even overseas participants. They were all curious to hear what the year of the Earth Rat 2008 held in store.
The 1500-odd seats in the hall were quickly taken up even before the event was to begin, those who had come early managed to grab the seats in front and a line soon formed as the organizers quickly added on an additional few hundred seats.
As the estimated 1800 person crowd waited anxiously for Joey Yap to come on-stage a short presentation set the tone for the day. And with that, to a thunderous applause, Joey took to the stage and began his talk.
The crowd was having a good time as they took down notes and the short tea break gave them a chance to clarify certain points with members of the Mastery Academy team.
Joey also peppered his talk with some Face Reading tips and techniques, using the features of an individual’s face to outline what the year ahead would hold – giving an even more detailed picture than simply using a person’s Chinese Astrology Animal Sign.
The lunch break provided many of the attendees a good chance to find out more about Joey’s latest books for the year as well as his latest DVD on how to make the most of 2008. Senior students of the Mastery Academy also used this as an opportunity to catch up with the Mastery Academy team who were on hand.
An autograph session was held as well and this gave many of the participants a chance to meet Joey in person, get his advice and have his autograph their books. The long line didn’t deter his many fans, who wanted the opportunity to meet him in person.
Joey’s breakthrough presentation style this time around made for an even more interesting and dynamic experience. Participants were able to combine various Feng Shui concepts like Tian Xing, Shen Sha, Mian Xiang and BaZi all at once in order to get a better understanding of the year of the Earth Rat and how it relates to them personally. By the time the talk ended, the participants were armed and ready to take on the year of the Earth Rat 2008!
