The Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, with its modern theatre style setting, larger seating capacity and superior acoustics, was the venue of choice for Joey Yap's Face and Destiny Seminar 2006. Around three thousand people arrived early on Sunday morning, quickly taking up all available seats upstairs and downstairs, in anticipation of a high energy, entertaining and informative day of Metaphysics with Joey. They were joined by foreign visitors and guests who had flown in from all over the world to join Joey at the event and to lend their support, including Instructors of the Mastery Academy from Poland, India, France, Turkey, UK, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Singapore and Russia.

As always, the crowd were not disappointed! A Joey Yap seminar is never a boring affair but a great opportunity to pick up some helpful tips, while being entertained by Joey in his trademark high energy, humourous, chatty style.

The Emcee got the crowd warmed up by doing a Mexican wave, before Joey took to the stage greeted by a thunderous applause from the audience and an eager welcome from all the attendees. The morning session kicked-off with an overview on Face Reading (Mian Xiang), an ancient Chinese science which originally was used for medical diagnosis, but was then extended to the field of Destiny Analysis. Joey then briefly introduced the basic 'Five Officers' on a person's face: eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and brows. He also talked about a pet subject for many of the participants - MOLES

In between the slightly technical bare-basics of Face Reading, Joey threw in lots of quick handy tips that participants could immediately put into use and encouraged everyone to take a good look at the person seated next to them! Half the fun of face reading after all, is looking at the faces and seeing all kinds of information just leap off the person's face! Who says it's not possible to read someone like a book?

Post- lunch, Joey delved into BaZi, introducing the 10 Day Stems and sending the crowd into roars of laughter as he explained how each Day Master not only should behave, personality wise, but even how they should look! In the study of BaZi, this is known as Conforming to your Structure and Day Master. Physiognomy doesn't just refer to the face, or the palms, but covers the entire physique of a person, and includes their body movements. A Jia Wood Day Master should not just be straight and to the point like a tree, but should also look tall, proud, and magnificent. And the only excuse for eating more is if you are a Wu Earth Day Master because you should look sturdy and meaty!

The tea breaks saw participants making a beeline for the various booths selling Joey's books, DVDs and courses, as well as the Mini Consulting booth set up on the 2nd floor, where participants could have their BaZi chart printed and analysed by Joey's students. The second tea break also saw a long line in the convention hall as attendees took the opportunity to have Joey autograph their books.

Before the session ended in the evening, Joey also shared with the audience some simple palm-reading methods. Palm-reading is also part of 'Physiognomy' reading. Marriage lines, Scandal lines, Wisdom lines, as well as finger length correlation drew laughter from the crowd as they discovered new things about themselves (and their friends!) simply from their own hands! The day ended with a lucky draw and no doubt, all participants in the hall left with new insights into themselves and their Destiny. Looking into the mirror will certainly never be the same for them again!
