| June 10 - 13, 2011 The best way for anyone to gain any knowledge on anything is always to start with the basics - the beginning. It's no different in the study of BaZi (Chinese Astrology) as well. BaZi enthusiasts or newbies, who has been dabbling in this discipline, can strengthen their knowledge and skill with some formal instruction. This is where Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics comes in. With a structured syllabus and the guidance of an instructor during a live course, anyone can easily learn BaZi in a matter of days. Mastery Academy conducted one of its regular courses, the BaZi Mastery Series™ Modules 1 and 2, led byits senior consultant and instructor, Jessie Lee, in Penang, Malaysia, recently. Students, who joined the course on June 10 to 13, were very eager to get started with the beginner level program. Developed by Joey Yap, this program takes a comprehensive yet approachable look into the Chinese Astrology study. BaZi, also known as Eight Characters or the Four Pillars of Destiny, uses a person's birth data - the Year, Month, Day and Time - to plot a chart that can derive accurate information on his or her personality, strengths and weaknesses, talents and potential in life. Module 1 helps the students to familiarize themselves with the fundamentals of BaZi and the pre-requisite skills for analyzing a BaZi chart. At the same time, they also learnt to identify the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, analyze Day Masters to uncover individual traits and attributes, amongst others. Students who completed Module 1 continued their in-depth lesson with Module 2. For this module, they learnt about plotting a BaZi chart on their own, identifying the Combinations, Clashes, Harms, Destruction and Punishments, and studying he basic structures of the Ten Gods. Actual BaZi charts - their own or of loved ones, friends or business associates - was used throughout the whole program to enable students to practice their chart reading skills. This made the learning experience more fun and easy to grasp. Clearly, both Modules made an impact on the students as it opens up their minds to a whole new way of looking at Chinese Astrology, which vastly differs from the typical Twelve Animal Signs. Conducted in English, BaZi Mastery Series™ Modules 1 and 2 was held between 10am and 5pm daily. For more details on the program and the upcoming scheduled courses, visit its website here. |
