All was abuzz on the Sunday of December 12 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Registration began early at 8.30am and the participants who signed up for the Empowering Your Quantum Growth in 2011 Conference were raring to go for a day of self-empowerment with two masters of empowerment, Joey Yap and Dr Lawrence Walter Ng.
This is the first joint event between Joey and Dr Lawrence, both sharing their knowledge and expertise together - truly an event that was not to be missed for many.
The first session began at 10am with Joey taking center stage to talk about BaZi (Personality Profiling under Chinese Astrology) and how awareness about oneself is important for change. He also went on to discuss the formula for success, which is "Success in Life = Preparation + Opportunities".
Joey's session was followed by Dr Lawrence, who took to the stage to explain the meaning of Quantum Growth and how individuals can improve their mindset, transform their skills level and double their performance in order to achieve success in career and life. He discussed the formula for Quantum Growth, which factored in Attitude, Thinking, Skills and Strategy.
The morning sessions ended with a lunch break and continued on with the afternoon sessions at 2.20pm. Back on stage again, Joey continued his BaZi session with a run down on the three levels of BaZi: the ten Day Masters, five Structures and ten Profiles; describing their characteristics, their strengths and weaknesses. Information gained through BaZi will help the individual to focus on improving on the right thing that will ensure a path of least resistance to their success.
Dr Lawrence, on his second session, went on to recommend the participants on making effective New Year resolutions that will increase their level of acceptance, adopt new patterns of excellence and turn negative energy to positive for change to take effect.
A Q&A session with both speakers was held thereafter with many participants showing much interest on profiling and further queries on what was presented. This was followed by a book signing session.
The basics to self-empowerment were taught in this conference. However, there is still much to be learnt from these two masters.
