DAY 7: Land Selection Techniques |
Joey
Yap explaining the landforms of Valencia and how best to tap.
|
The final site that would be audited by students was located in
Sungai Buloh, just outside the suburb of Petaling Jaya. The site
that had been chosen by Joey was the location of Valencia Homes,
an upmarket exclusive property development undertaken by one of
Malaysia ’s leading conglomerates, Gamuda.
Land selection is an extremely important technique that practitioners
must master, especially when dealing with high nett worth clients,
who often have the privilege to select where they wish to
|
|
have their homes built and have better control over the internal layout
of their homes, since these homes are usually built to their design preferences.
As had been emphasised by Joey, the external formation comes first, before
the internal Feng Shui. The Internal Feng Shui must always complement the
external landforms. |

Joey
Yap explaining the Landform of the housing area. |
Valencia was a unique challenge for the students, who were taken
to 3 different plots of land and set the task of picking the best
plot for a home. It was hard work, entailing true walking the land
and the mountains as students climbed up a small hill to get a better
vantage view of the surrounding landforms and check out the mountains
in the vicinity. |

|
At the audit, students learnt how to position the house so as to
best maximise the ability of the structure to tap into the Qi of the
surrounding landform. Ensuring the house is properly positioned on
the Qi spot is a critical skill that a Feng Shui master must possess,
and which M4 students were able to grasp following their audit and
the analysis session with Joey.

|
|
|
The day ended with a final classroom session that covered the art
of date selection using classical San He and 28 Constellation Methods.
Date selection is a specialist subject in classical Feng Shui but
is integral for all Feng Shui practitioners because it enables the
selection of a date that will maximise the Qi benefits for the event
or task.
