Below is a sample page from the Professional Edition Tong Shu 2010:

Here are a few examples as to how this invaluable Tong Shu can be used.
Example 1: Qualifying a General Good Date
Let's take 5 April 2010 for example:
It is a Wood Rooster Day. The upper right hand column stipulates:
- Day Officer: Initiate
- JY Dong Gong: Auspicious
- Yellow & Black Belt: Precious Light
- 28 constellations: Danger

Notice that positive values are indicated in red.
Now look at the Clashing Pillars.

Those born in the years of Metal Rabbit and Earth Rabbit are not suited to use this date for important events.
The Day Stars contain the following;
- Duke Stem Combo
- Duke Virtue combo
- Earth Wealth
- Guard Day
- Heavenly Noble
- Heavenly Wish

In most cases, when the Stars written in red outnumber the ones in black, is it usually an auspicious date generally. Of course, a practitioner will be able to discern the specific use and function of each Star.
Next, the 'Suit & Avoid' column is a traditional list of activities that are suitable or unsuitable to be executed on the given day.

This day, for example, is suitable for 'moving house' and 'seeking medical treatment'. |
