Natural Elements

Finding a sustainable and conscious development in an environment that will prove friendly towards us is what many of us hope to have once we signed on the purchasing agreement for a property.

But even after we made the purchase, we often wonder if we really have found an environment that will prove friendly towards us. For those looking for their dream home, they could turn to classical Feng Shui as a tool in discovering a potential home with auspicious Feng Shui. To start, one can begin by looking for natural land features in the vicinity of your dream home such as mountains or a body of water.

When mountains (A Yin component) and water features (A Yang component) are present, this shows a perfect harmonious blend of Yin and Yang energy that allows Qi energy to be collected. Having a good balance of both Yin and Yang is ideal because it means this particular location has good Feng Shui potential.

But even the sharpest of eyes may not be able to spot a mountain for the challenge itself lies in identifying the right kind of mountain- particularly in an urban setting! It may sound obvious, but even if an area has the word "hills" or "heights" in its name, any keen house hunter would even be able to notice that the most prestigious residential addresses tend to be in very close proximity to mountains.

Even if your dream house is fronted or located beside a mountain, how do you know if the mountain you seen will be any good?Using common sense, one can surmise that a verdant mountain releases positive energy while a rocky mountain with cracks, crags and exposed patches tend to release aggressive Qi.

Because mountain ranges are rare in urban settings, other alternatives for mountains could be embodied by buildings or trees while the water feature can also be represented by a fountains or field. As long as your dream house has these desirable features accumulated into one positive area, it will allow Qi to flow gently into the house, allowing occupants to enjoy a better quality of life.

Once you have located the house of your dreams and it has the requisite vista of a lush green hill in the right position, it's time to pull out your trusty Feng Shui compass to measure the direction of the mountain in relation to your prospective home. If the mountain is located in the Northeast, West, Northwest or South, then you've come to the right place. The Feng Shui of this property will enable you and your family to enjoy harmonious, happy relationships, good health, and prosperity. Sign up this house on the spot, if possible!
