Singapore Raffles Convention Center – FULL HOUSE

7th January 2007

"Ready for the good news for 2007?"

And to enthusiastic cries of 'Yes!' from his capacity Singapore audience, Joey Yap kicked-off his Feng Shui & Astrology for 2007 Seminar for the year.

Filled to capacity: The Ballroom seems to be bursting at the seams!

Singapore was the first stop for this annually held Seminar for 2007, and the Raffles Convention Center played venue. If there was ever a premonition on the response to expect, the `box office’ ticket sell-out 2 days before the Seminar certainly proved to be a strong indication!

Although the `show’ was not due until 10 a.m., attendees started thronging the Center from as early as 7 a.m. Professionals, corporate figures, curious enthusiasts and even fellow Feng Shui masters and practitioners…they all came in droves to listen to what Joey has to say about what awaits them in the Year of the Fire Boar. By 10 a.m., the main hall was packed with only standing room left as extra chairs had been added to accommodate additional last minute attendees.

And Joey certainly didn’t disappoint, as he proceeded in his usual bubbly and straight-talking manner to define classical Feng Shui for the benefit of first-time attendees – what it is and isn’t about, and how its theorems and techniques are applied. This actually proved to be an eye-opener for many, as they found themselves attending a seminar that for once, did not advise them to purchase objects or talismans that purport to bring about `good luck’. He then elaborated slightly on how classical Feng Shui can be used to serve our purpose and goals in life.

While the coffee break that followed suit allowed participants to digest what they had just learnt, many were seen discussing and exchanging notes with one another. Once the Seminar resumed, Joey led his audience into what 2007 holds in store for them, Feng Shui-wise. He shared the Flying Stars concept with them, and given the slightly technical nature of this topic, it wasn’t surprising to see faces tight with concentration – all paying rapt attention to Joey’s pointers and advice. Many were seen jotting down notes furiously!

Time always flies whenever we’re engrossed in something, and before long, it was lunch break. But the audience deserved to be credited for their punctuality, which saw Joey picking up after the break by continuing his discussion on the Feng Shui aspects for 2007. He launched into a lively discourse on how a residence or office can be best utilized for the duration of the year. Next on his agenda were the Yearly Afflictions for 2007 – where he shared tips on the Wealth, Academic and Negative sectors for the year, with his attentive listeners eagerly absorbing everything he said.

If anything, the Singaporean crowd proved to be eager learners indeed, judging from the books – authored by Joey – they clutched in their hands, which they proceeded to request him to autograph during the tea break! Unfortunately, there simply wasn’t enough time to oblige everyone, as Joey found himself drowned by the sea of faces that swarmed him for his autograph.

With everyone having taken their seats after this break, Joey gave them a special treat – in the form of Face Reading (Mian Xiang) tips! He disclosed to his audience that a person’s face is more than an expression to the world, but also a map of his or her personality, potential and destiny in life. An animated discourse on key facial features such as the forehead, eyebrows, eyes and nose ensued, during which he also shared another essential tip with his audience:

We can actually gauge the extent of our success in implementing classical Feng Shui, by looking at the hues or colors of the faces of occupants from time to time!

Always hugely popular amongst audiences in any part of the world, Joey’s Singaporean listeners were seen chuckling every now and then with the amusing anecdotes he peppered his discussion with. He even provided them with a BaZi Chart, which provides an annual analysis for 2007. Basically, an annual BaZi Chart allows us to analyze what destiny has in store for us over the duration of a certain year.

All too soon, even good things came to an end, with Joey bidding his audience `a Happy New Year’, and wishing them well in their endeavors for 2007.

If you’ve read until this point, and are feeling somewhat `left-out’ because you missed the Singapore Seminar, well, you can still catch Joey Yap at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center on January 14th. And if you happen to be in Australia or Canada, be sure to join Joey for this Seminar in February and March 2007!
